– drifting on –
I am packing up and moving on
Behind me are the days of sorrow
Lonely, forgotten, yet there
I was always there
Hidden in my own fear
Standing, waiting, watching, nothing
So, I am packing up and moving on
I am packing up and moving on
The silent days were the better days
No crying, no yelling, no mourning plea
Silent I was in the commotion
Yet loud I will be in the stillness
I was the calm in the storm, searching for the hurricane
So, I am packing up and moving on
I am packing up and moving on
Better things are far ahead
Places of wonder, with hope for the world
Shrouded in defeat, the weak will rise above
To see the morning sun with joy
And have no fear when the sun sets tonight
So, I am packing up and moving on
I am packing up and moving on
Behind me I leave the fear, I leave the sorrow, I am not forgotten
The world fills with hope
It fills with a new light
I leave it behind to see who I am and who I might become
To search and to seek, find light in the dark
So, for the better or worse, I am packing up and moving on
This is beautiful!
